Programmable Macro Language |
|
What it's about |
The course content will cover PML for PDMS. An advanced macro writing course, covering the latest facilities for writing
programmable macros. The course content will be based on PDMS |
Who it's for |
Anyone who will be involved in writing the more complex type of macros. Anyone who will be writing applications like the PDMS applicationware. |
Duration |
2 Days |
Topics covered |
Theoretical sessions Overview of the macro facilities available in PDMS Learning about the different types of variables which can be used in PDMS/PEGS macros and their context in relation to PDMS/PEGS and other macros. Understanding the different types of mathematical and logical operators which can be applied to conditional statements and expressions. Understanding how string handling facilities can be used to manipulate text variables. Practical sessions Creating macros which use different forms of DO LOOP for repeating commands and performing multiple operations within PDMS/PEGS. Applying commands to create intelligent macros. Using macro escape sequences to write messages, read information and trace the execution of a macro. Using 'S Use IF', 'ELSE', 'ELSEIF' statements for branching or performing conditional operations. Using error handling to anticipate and respond to different types of error condition which can occur during the execution of a macro. |
