It is possible to import data into
PDMS , which not really is Plant Data. It can be data for ships and other
special shapes, e.g in this example wings from windmill.
In this example you see a wing constructed for a Wind-Turbine imported into PDMS as panels. The data is created in a calculation program that divide the wing into slices by approximate 400 points in every cut. The rest of this mill is only modelled by primitive. The data is kindly borrowed from LM Glasfiber A/S

Data in this example is not reduced at all. This gives a very nice representation - but also lot of data in PDMS. | |
In this exsample the data is reduced by 90 %. You have to zoom very close to see the difference. This is done in the next 2 pictures. |
